United States Capitol Building
We can accommodate Capitol tour
requests for a staff-led guided tour of the Capitol complex
from Monday through Friday. (Please Note: There is a 15
person limit per Capitol Tour. If we can accommodate large
groups, they will have to divide into smaller groups). Capitol
Tours are not guaranteed. Staff-led tours of the United
States Capitol must be requested at least 30 days prior
to the desired day. Please call 202-224-6542 to
make a reservation for a staff led tour of the Capitol.
When at the Capitol, feel free to stop by room 313 of the
Hart Senate Office Building to see Senator Schumer’s
office and to ask for passes to the Senate Gallery to watch
the Senate at work.
Capitol Tours can also be scheduled through
the new Capitol Visitor’s Center and include timed
tickets and an orientation film.

The Senate and House Galleries are open
to visitors whenever either body is in session. In addition,
the House Gallery is open 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday
– Friday, when the House is not in session. Passes
are required to enter either gallery at any time. Visitors
may obtain gallery passes from our office, located in suite
313 in the Hart building. If you plan on taking a tour of
the Capitol, please pick up gallery passes prior to your
tour.
