As a longtime member of the Judiciary Committee, Chuck has spent his legislative career supporting local law enforcement, protecting women and families, working to keep drugs off our streets and promoting innovative drug rehabilitation programs. He has reshaped the federal bench in New York by recommending judges that meet his three requirements of excellence, moderation and diversity. Chuck has also prioritized privacy and consumer protection issues to ensure that New Yorkers are protected in a constantly changing technological world.

Working in a bipartisan way, Chuck has tackled some of the most important issues that face our nation, including immigration reform. Chuck authored the Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act of 2013, the comprehensive immigration reform bill that aimed to reunite families, secure our border, reduce the deficit and grow the economy.
