Every year, Chuck commits to traveling to all62 counties in New York to meet with constituents.
On October 29, 2026, after years of direct advocacy, urging Edwards Vacuum to invest in Western New York, and delivering an $18 million federal award from his bipartisan CHIPS & Science Law to support the new facility, U.S. Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer today celebrated the grand opening of the first dry pump manufacturing facility for the semiconductor industry to be located in the United States. Edwards Vacuum’s new facility in Genesee County is expected to have a $300+ million investment and create a whopping 600+ good-paying jobs when the facility reaches full production capacity.
