On April 2, 2021, following his July visit to discuss the necessity of state and local aid, Senator Schumer returned to Washington County to meet with local officials and a local restaurant owner, emphasizing that ‘help is on the way’ to Washington County as he detailed specifics from the American Rescue Plan he led to passage in the U.S. Senate. Schumer met with Sam Hall, Chairman of the Washington Co. Board of Supervisors/Supervisor of Town of Fort Ann, Dave O’Brien, Chairman of Warren-Washington Cos. IDA/Supervisor of Town of Hampton, Lester Losaw, Supervisor of Fort Edward, Laura Oswald, Wash Co. Economic Development Director, Beth Gillis, Director of Lake Champlain-Lake George Regional Planning Commission, John Davidson of Fort Edward Industrial Park, and Neil Orsini, owner of the Anvil Inn.
