Every year, Chuck commits to traveling to all62 counties in New York to meet with constituents.
U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer stood at a shopping plaza in New Hyde Park, NY to discuss a Congressional bill that would raise overdraft fees, among other bank fees. These fees would harm any one with a bank account, and would shrink the economy. The senator also brought up the effects these fees would have on Long Islanders, as a a region with many that have strong credit scores, who would be targeted with more bank fees. Senator Schumer urged his collegues on the other side of the aisle to rethink this overdraft rule to help put more money back into the hands of consumer's and help expand the economy, instead of shrinking it.
