\n On February 24, 2011 Senator Schumer stood at Collins Marine, next to the South Grand Island Bridge, in Tonawanda. Schumer discussed his introduction of legislation that will protect discounted tolls for Grand Island residents. The Residential and Commuter Toll Fairness Act of 2011 provides express Congressional authorization for local governments to issue or grant transportation toll, user fee or fare discount programs based on residential status.
