On May 29, 2013, Schumer visited Stickley Furniture to reveal that Stickley Furniture and other furniture manufacturers in the U.S. are owed tens of millions of dollars in antidumping fees that the federal government has not collected from illegal Chinese wooden furniture imports. Schumer also demands Customs and Border Protection to crack down and repay domestic furniture makers, like Stickley an estimated $2 million it would use to boost production, keep it's 850 Manlius jobs, and hire workers.
