On December 6, 2010, Schumer attended the groundbreaking of the Taylor Biomass power plant. Senator Schumer fought for a $100 million loan guarantee and $30 million federal renewable energy grant so that this facility can create 400 construction and permanent jobs, while revolutionizing energy production and trash removal worldwide.
