Schumer said that mounting evidence indicates a possible link between the release of al-Megrahi and the completion of long stalled negotiations between BP and the Libyan government. Schumer was joined by the family of Colleen Brunner, who was one of 270 people killed when Pan Am flight 103 exploded over Lockerbee, Scotland in 1988.
