Every year, Chuck commits to traveling to all62 counties in New York to meet with constituents.
\n On May 9, 2011, Schumer called on the National Park Service (NPS) to visit and evaluate the deteriorating historic Oyster Bay Railroad Station to determine if a new federal restoration plan is needed to preserve the structure and the legacy of President Theodore Roosevelt. The station served as a transportation hub in Long Island and was used by President Roosevelt to travel to and from Sagamore Hill to NYC and Washington D.C. The Oyster Bay Railroad Museum plans to convert the station into a new visitor's center but the plan could be delayed without financial assistance.\nFor further information on Chuck Schumer please visit\nwww.schumer.senate.gov
