Despite how important Doxycycline is for treating Lyme Disease, the FDA has yet to get involved in this potential shortage even though it could limit access to the drug and is already significantly driving up the price. Schumer was joined by State Senator Terry Gipson; Dr. Kari Reiber, Dutchess County Department of Health Commissioner; Jill Auerbach, Chairwoman of the Lyme Disease Association of the  Hudson Valley; and Rachel Dildilian, Facilitator of the Mid-Hudson Lyme Disease Support Group.</p>"}}
