On November 26, 2013, Schumer visited the Carrus Institute Building at the Center for Discovery in Monticello, to unveil legislation called The Assistance in Gaining Experience, Independence, and Navigation (AGE-IN) Act.This legislation would help fund ongoing services for young adults with autism and other developmental disabilities, after they \"age-out\" of the school system. He was joined by Assemblymember Aileen Gunther; Patrick Dollard, President and CEO of the Center for Discovery; and Richard Humleker, Vice-President for Development at the Center of Discovery.
