Schumer urged the U.S. Air force to approve an F-16 flyover of the 2013 Boilermaker Race, on Sunday, July 14th. Schumer asked that the Air Force incorporate the flyover into mandated training, which must be done using the military jets and therefore adds no additional cost to taxpayers. Schumer was joined by Tim Reed, Executive Director of the Boilermaker Road Race as well as other Boilermaker officials and Nick Matt, Chairman and CEO of FX Matt Brewing Company. Schumer has already helped Boilermaker officials secure clearance from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for such a flyover, and Schumer is now taking the next step in urging the Pentagon and Air Force to provide this military aircraft, on behalf of Boilermaker officials.</p>"}}
