Every year, Chuck commits to traveling to all62 counties in New York to meet with constituents.
On February 22nd, Schumer visited Tuthilltown Whiskey Distillery in Gardiner to tour and speak about legislation to help market whiskey products within the European Union. Currently, strict guidelines on the aging of whiskey does not allow American distillers to promote their products as Whiskey. New trade regulations would get rid of the aging requirements for EU sales, allowing New York and American whiskey to be promoted and sold overseas as true whiskey. Schumer was joined by the staff and owner of Tuthilltown Distillery, President and CEO of Hudson Valley Economic Development Corporation, Mike Oates and Ulster County Executive, Mike Hein.
