Every year, Chuck commits to traveling to all62 counties in New York to meet with constituents.
On February, 25, 2011, Schumer traveled to Taylor Biomass to vow to fight against cuts to a $100 million loan guarantee that has already been promised to Taylor Biomass Energy. The funding bill that passed the House of Representatives last week would eliminate this program's funding and eliminate hundreds of private sector jobs in the Orange County. Schumer was joined by James Taylor, the President of Taylor Biomass Energy; Mike Oates, the Director of the Hudson Valley Economic Development Corporation; and local union leader Todd Diorio.
