SCHUMER STATEMENT ON FUNDING FOR ROCHESTER'S INNER LOOP

Following his delivering over $27 billion for New York State as part of the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment & Jobs Act he led to passage in the Senate, U.S. Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer released the following statement on New York State’s allocation of $100 million for the transformation of Rochester’s Inner Loop:

U.S. Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer said, “When we passed the Bipartisan Infrastructure and Jobs Law I said it would make the Rochester Inner Loop North redevelopment a reality.  Now that day has come.  $100 million in infrastructure funds will now transform the City of Rochester by filling in the Inner Loop North.  This investment builds on the previous federal funding I’ve delivered over the years for this critical project, and will create new jobs and reverse decades of disinvestment by bringing new hope and prosperity to these neighborhoods.  I commend Governor Hochul for putting these federal infrastructure dollars to work to complete this transformational project in Rochester.”
