SENATORS SCHUMER AND GILLIBRAND ANNOUNCE $1.7 MILLION FOR PLATTSBURGH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

U.S. Senators Charles E. Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand today announced $1,700,000 in U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) funding for the Plattsburgh International Airport.  The grant will be used to construct a parking lot.

"This is great news for the North Country residents and businesses who depend on Plattsburgh International for their travel needs," said Senator Schumer. "Plattsburgh International is an integral part of the region's economy and these federal dollars will help ensure that passengers have safe and easy access to the parking facilities at the airport."

"The Plattsburgh International Airport is an economic engine for the North Country region and I am thrilled that they have received this grant," said Senator Kirsten Gillibrand.  "This grant will help modernize and expand the airport so that they can continue to attract new investment and jobs to the region."

The DOT grant will provide federal funding for terminal parking improvements at Plattsburgh International Airport.
