Schumer, Collins Urge State Dept To Add Saudi Arabia To List Of Religiously Intolerant Nations
US Senators Charles E. Schumer and Susan M. Collins today urged the US State Department to add Saudi Arabia to the US list of religiously intolerant nations, a classification that could subject the country to further action against it, including economic sanctions. With Storms Destroying Valuable Crops, Schumer Urges State To Request Disaster Assistance For Many Upstate Counties
"Times have been hard enough for Upstate farmers," Schumer said. "No one can account for natural disasters, but with last year's bad weather and now this past month of frigid temperatures and intense rainfall these farmers can't get a break. Schumer: Vassar Medical Center Likely To Get Increased Federal Funding - Major Breakthrough
US Senator Charles E. Schumer today announced that a major hurdle has been cleared in his effort to persuade the top federal official on Medicare, Dr. Mark McClellan, to reclassify the Vassar Medical Center of Dutchess County in a way that will send the hospital millions more in federal dollars.
