Sparrowbush Engine Company Will Use Federal Funds to Purchase New Equipment To Keep Firefighters Safe U.S. Senators Charles E. Federal Funding For Athens Volunteer Fire Dept. Will Be Used To Purchase New Safety Equipment U.S. Senators Charles E. Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand today announced $19,953 in federal funding for the Athens Volunteer Fire Department.
