Schumer Announces Two Otsego County Fire Departments Will Receive Over $100,000 In Federal Fire Grants
U.S. Senator Charles E. Schumer today announced that two fire departments in the Southern Tier will receive federal grants totaling $108,965 from the 2007 Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) Program administered by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The Cherry Valley Joint Fire District and the Edmeston Fire Department, both in Otsego County, will receive grants of $44,840 and $64,125 respectively.
